  • Successful implementation of a stigma reduction campaign on HIV/AIDS in Kibera through community theatre in partnership with Population Services International-Kenya.

  • Initiation of environmentally sustainable income generating project of assembling simple and affordable solar panels.

  • 20 young volunteers trained in theatre for development skills.

  • 60% of volunteers trained in entrepreneurship skills.

  • Maintaining a strong bond within the group and the community.

  • Active participation in youth and community activities i.e. sports, clean-ups, workshops etc.

  • Attracting both local and international volunteers.

  • Recognition by both local and international media i.e. BBC and KTN (solar project).

  • Using sports to bring about social change.

  • Hosting a youth-focussed World AIDS Day event in 2004.

  • Recording seven songs by our volunteers on social issues.

  • Mobilising, creating awareness and managing TB patients for free treatment in partnership with International Medical Corps in Kibera.

  • Participated in a youth self-help initiative best practice competition 2003 held by GTZ/GoK and was selected among the best twenty.

  • Participated in the African Exchange Conference & Leadership Development Seminar; AfroxLDS2005 organized by AIESEC at Sportsview Hotel on 22/03/05.

  • Involvement in the national youth policy formulation.

  • Participation in the International Society of Mobile Youth Work Conference in Limuru, Kenya 2003.
